Cibolo Tanya Carrasco serves as a City Girl Society Inagural Member and as the organization's Treasurer. When she is not at work or working on CSG activities, she is likely enjoying one of her many various hobbies. As an Oregon born Texas native, Tanya enjoys many of Texas’ offerings, which include camping, hiking, attending Texas Country Music concerts and discovering new eats and drinks, along with her husband Tony, while taking drives through the Texas Hill Country. She also enjoys cycling, and is currently training for the MS 150. Besides working towards the betterment of CSG, some of her other hobbies include scrap booking, yoga, traveling, cooking, shopping, reading and she also enjoys spending time with family and friends. Tanya has lived in the CSG area for 13 years. | |
Devin Doody, pictured with Tanya Carrasco, left, is an Inaugural Member of the City Girl Society. When not participating in Society activities, she is busy with many other things. Devin loves to travel, entertain, and play bunco, but is now focused on enjoying the company of her first child, Gavin, born June 15th, 2008. She is a member of the local Aggie club, attends Bob Schneider concerts whenever she can (even if nine months pregnant), and enjoys spending time with her husband Bjorn and their pets. Jessica Kessel, Schertz Jessica Kessel is a Member of City Girl Socity and joined in November 2008. Her newest hobbie is getting out into the community and meeting new friends. City Girl Socity fell right into her lap and now she is enjoying building bonds with great woman and learning about our community. Other than teaching at Rose Garden Elementary, she spends her time with her husband Joe, son Landen, daughter Madisen, and boxers Guinness and Izzy. Her hobbies include being physically active: swimming, biking, yoga, and hiking. She also enjoys baking (especially cakes), bowling, and her newest hobbie is ping pong. She is laid back, easy going, and just looking for a good time.
 Linda Walker is a Member of City Girl Society and joined in November 2008. She is excited to meet new friends as well as learn more about the community along the way. Currently she is the Head Swim Coach, as well as a science teacher at MacArthur HS. When she is not coaching or teaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband Patrick, and two crazy dogs, Ares & Gracie. She loves to stay active and has participated in various triathlons, as well as marathons and half-marathons. Her hobbies include swimming (of course!), scuba diving, surfing, kayaking, rock climbing, hiking, and just about anything else outdoors! Also at the top of the list are traveling and shopping! She loves meeting new people, trying new places, and having a great time! Linda has lived in the CSG area since 2007.
Vanessa Frazier is officially became a Member of City Girl Society in June 2009. She is new to the CSG Area but has lived in the greater San Antonio region for about 9 years. When not at work, she enjoys shopping, cooking, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Vanessa also enjoys traveling, especially abroad. She is also a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do and has competed in many tournaments all around the world with the Junior Olympics, Team USA, and others. She loves staying involved in the community through her Volunteer Network at work. Last but certainly not least, she loves taking care of and spoiling her 3 year old Yorkie, Duke Frazier.
Amber Sanders serves as a City Girl Society Member and was also initiated in June 2009. Amber is best described as a country girl with a city style! When Amber is not working or doing outside personal training with her clients, you can see her spending time participating in various activities. Having a huge family means you will find her spending time attending birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and weekends with friends and family. Amber loves to spend time outside with her boyfriend and other close friends at the coast, lake or river. She often will just take a drive out to Old River Road or Canyon Lake just to get out of the city. Amber is a new resident to Schertz and hopes to one-day start a local bootcamp for neighbors and friends to join. amber@citygirlsociety.net
 Sarah Zambrano joined CSG with Vanessa and Amber in June 2009. She best describes herself as a free-spirited world traveler. She was born in Paris, raised in Mexico City, educated in California, and is now living in the exciting Schertz, TX. She is happy to be involved in CSG and proud to be the latest brunette addition. When not at work, Sarah enjoys taking part in her many hobbies including salsa dancing, kick boxing, photography, fashion design, going to the movies. She also hopes to add some fresh flavor to CSG by introducing her figure skating training and hip hop choreographing abilities to the group (Inaugural Member Devin Doody is most excited about this fact and is counting the days until her dancing solo debut). Sarah is relatively new to the Schertz area, and is soon to discover that there is much more to it than just walking on sidewalks.
 Angie Guevara, Cibolo Angie Guevara is a new member of City Girl Society. When she is not dedicating most of her time to her families at one of the most prestigious funeral homes in San Antonio, she can be found spending time with her own family and the newest member the family, her nephew. Angie's hobbies include art, dancing, and participating in annual trail rides with family and friends. She is a huge fan of country music and loves road trips. She is also working on her bachelors degree in hopes of one day teaching Mortuary Science in San Antonio. Angie also plans to become more involved with the community and is working towards being more active in helping local charities.
 Shannon Kossaeth, Cibolo
Shannon Kossaeth is one of the new CSG members, attending her first dinner in July, 2009. Shannon was born and raised in Schertz, is an alumni of Samuel Clemens High School, was a cheerleader for over six years, and has been the General Manager of Loretta's Finest since May of 2007 (Founder Megan Lehnhoff’s favorite local restaurant). She’s definitely a workaholic, but in her free time, she loves to relax, hang out with friends, and listen to jazz because she feels it stimulates the mind, body, and soul. She also enjoys watching old school gangster movies, action movies, and foreign films! With her favorite color being green, she’s self-described as a down-to-earth hippy chick with a southern attitude!
 Alicia McAlister, Schertz Alicia McAlister is one of the new members for CSG. She moved to Schertz, TX in 2006 from Georgia. Alicia has a 2 year old daughter named Carley Michele and will be married to her long-time sweetheart, Rick on April, 3 2010. Alicia works at Integrity Insurance Agency and is studying to obtain her Texas Property & Casualty Insurance license. When not at work, you can often find Alicia at the local motocross track where she rides her Honda CR125R dirt bike. Alicia loves to attend live Country and Rock concerts and, come February, she is all about the Rodeo. She considers herself to be fun and very outgoing, and always along for the ride. Alicia is extremely excited about becoming a member of CSG, getting out in her community to make new friends and experiencing all that the Schertz, Cibolo, and Garden Ridge area has to offer.
 Brittany McAlister, SchertzBrittany McAlister is a member who met CSG during Discover Cibolo. Brittany moved to Schertz in March 2008 after graduating from the University of Georgia in early 2007 – Go Dawgs! Brittany works for Integrity Insurance Agency as a licensed Account Executive in the Benefits department. She is obsessed with stand-up comedy, loves team trivia, is enthusiastic about politics, and reads nonstop. You will probably see her riding around town on her blue Honda 250 motorcycle, so be sure to give her a biker wave! Brittany usually has an opinion on everything and doesn’t mind sharing it. She is most looking forward to the community involvement and lasting friendships CSG has to offer. brittany@citygirlsociety.net
 Cassie Minjarez, Cibolo Cassie Minjarez is a member that came to us by way of Gus Villarreal (Official CSG Artist & Movie Producer, President of Idealfilms) through Valero Volunteer University, an organization to which she dedicated two years of her time volunteering. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her new and first niece, Sophia. Sophia was born on June 26, 2009 and is the only love of this single girl's life. She will be nanny to Sophia beginning September 1st so that her sister and brother-in-law can maintain their busy careers. Cassie recently graduated from UTSA with a BBA in Finance. She enjoys playing golf and plans to re-start some sort of an exercise routine now that she is out of school. Cassie has been in the San Antonio area for almost three years and is making the move into her new house in Cibolo.

 Megan Smith, SchertzMegan Smith is one of the new members of CSG. Megan was invited to CSG by Alicia McAlister in Aug 2009. She moved to Schertz, TX in 2008 from Colorado; prior to that she lived in Canada. Megan is active duty Air Force and is studying to get her BA in Education. When not at work, you can often find Megan volunteering in the community or walking and playing with her dog (Envy). Megan is extremely excited about becoming a member of CSG, getting out in her community to make it a better place as well as making new friends and experiencing all that the Schertz, Cibolo, and Garden Ridge area has to offer.
